Cities on the Green Track

Perhaps you’ve been too busy Googling Wireless Internet Providers by Zip Code or learning more about the recent DC earthquake but you may have missed some of the green developments going on across the country. Some cities are really paving the way when it comes to going green and we want to give them a round of applause
Charlotte, NC – This banking hub is aiming to be the green capitol of the south and we think they’re doing a great job. With the addition of a shiny new LEED certified building in the heart of downtown and a thriving Light Rail system, Charlotte’s on the right track.
Pittsburgh, PA – Formerly Steel Town USA, Pittsburgh is making great strides towards going green. There’s a ton of new city park space being developed and the city’s aiming to encourage carpooling to work – a great start for a town known for being dirty.
Phoenix, AZ – With its rapid development it’s no wonder Phoenix has had a hard time controlling pollution. The city’s planting trees left and right, though, and passing initiatives to cut down on smog which we think is a nice act.
